Join me and my son in raising $$$ for Breast Cancer awareness & research
My 13 year old son and I have participated in our first Susan G. Komen 5K run (more like walk and slow jog at the finish line) this morning, Sunday, Oct. 14 at 7am around Kapiolani Park area!! We are excited to do this together to help raise funds for a great cause. Our goal is to raise at least $150. We were up and out of the house before the waking sun... it felt so wonderful and to know we are doing this to support, celebrate and honor 3 very important women in our lives!!!
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. My mom in law, my Aunty, and my high school best friend/soul sis, are one of those people. We celebrate their courageous fight against breast cancer. To honor My mom in law, my Aunty, and soul sis and to celebrate that they have beat this, we have decided to support Susan G. Komen in their fight against breast cancer.
Please help us by donating even $1 to support Susan G. Komen so they can provide education, screening and treatment programs for women and men in our community, and support cutting-edge research so that one day we can live in a world without breast cancer.
If you are 40....Please please remember to get your first mammogram!!! It's soooooo important. I made sure to make my first appointment 2 years ago at Queens and it wasn't nearly as bad as the stories I've heard! Early detection is EVERYTHING!!!
As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
You can make a donation online with your credit card by clicking the button above my fundraising thermometer.
Thank you sooooooooo much for your generous support!!!!!
