Teams are the heart and soul of our Race! By starting a team, you can bring family, friends and coworkers together to celebrate a survivor in your life, honor the lives of lost loved ones, or simply support a great cause. In addition to receiving some friendly competition, when you start a team you’ll receive a team website, entry into team contests, and eligibility for top team rewards.

2016 Race for the Cure ® Hawaii

Recruitment & Fundraising Contests 

Date: July 1 – October 7
Contest: All TEAM CAPTAINS who successfully raise or donate a minimum of $50 per month ONLINE between July 1 and October 7 will be entered into a drawing to win a VIP Parking Pass for Race Day.
Eligible Winners: Two Team Captains (Minimum of $200 raised to be eligible)
Prize: Race Day VIP Parking Pass
 
Date: July 20
Contest: The TEAM that registers the most participants by July 20 will win breakfast for their TEAM the morning of Race Day.
Eligible Winners: Teams
Prize: Team breakfast the morning of race (bagels, fruit, coffee, and juice)
 
Date: August 1 – August 15
Contest: The TEAM with the largest percentage increase in team member registrations starting August 1 and ending August 15 will win a pizza party for their TEAM.
Eligible Winners: Teams
Prize: Team Pizza Party (not to exceed 12 pizzas; date TBD by team)
 
Date: September 1
Contest: The TEAM with the highest percentage of team members fundraising on their team by September 1 will win a tent in Team Village on Race Day for their TEAM.
Eligible Winners: Teams (Must have a minimum of 10 registered team members on the team to be eligible to win.)
Prize: A Tent in Team Village
 
Date: October 1 – October 14
Contest: For every $50 a participant raises online from October 1 to October 14, they will be entered into a drawing to win the Pink Komen Bike.
Eligible Winners: Individual Participants
Prize: Pink Komen Bike
*Drawing to take place on race day, winner announced from the stage
 
Date: October 14, 2016
Contest: All individuals who raise $250 or more by October 14, 2016 will be entered in a drawing to win 2 tickets to the Pink Tie Ball
Eligible Winners: Individual Participants
Prize: 2 Tickets to 2017 Pink Tie Ball

Team Village
All Teams that raise $2,000 or more are invited to be a part of Team Village on race day. This is an exclusive VIP TEAM area with tents, catered BBQ breakfast, refreshments, tables and chairs. Deadline to raise $2,000 to be eligible is October 1.  In addition the top 3 teams overall earn a private 10x10 tent in Team Village.
